Who Are We ?
We are an Association of Combat Veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby. Our focus is to help veteran care facilities provide a warm meal, clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say "Thank You." and "Welcome Home." We are also a group of people with a common belief who band together for a purpose and for sheer enjoyment of our chosen hobby, motorcycles.
We are a 501(c)(19) non-profit association of
combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who
enjoy riding motorcycles as a hobby.
Our members are combat veterans who have served in various
theatres of war including
The CVMA was established in May 2001 after an internet scam attempted to exploit and take advantage of innocent combat veterans. When the scam was exposed, 45 interested individuals put together a legitimate group interested in helping veterans, and the CVMA was born. Our membership is comprised of Full Members which are those with verified combat service, Support Members which are veterans with non-combat military service, and Auxiliary Members which are spouses, widows, or widowers of combat veterans, all of which have a sincere desire and dedication to helping veterans. We have members in nearly all 50 states and living abroad, and many of our members continue to serve in our Armed Forces today, some in current combat areas.
We hold monthly meetings, plan rides and dinners, raise monies through events and donations and for charitable purposes. We believe that "Together, we can make a difference!"
